We met at a protest 7 years ago and have been best friends ever since. The plan was New York after college to work for a non profit humanitarian organization, but after graduation we were faced with responsibilities that placed us in the corporate world. Searching for a way out, we wanted to find something that spoke to us, something with meaning and substance. We both had a love for fashion, but we didn't feel like the current industry represented us or was a place of inclusion. So we decided to create that world. A world where we belong, a world where every girl belongs.
The fashion industry needs a reboot, it needs a revolution. So we're bringing our energy, love and dedication of justice, inclusion and equality into fashion. We may not know it all, but we're growing each day and learning as we go from girls all over the world.
So what's the vision?
This is our plan, as crazy as it sounds, just entertain us for a minute...
We want to do away with "plus-size" labeling, we want to go global, and we want to influence the way girls think about themselves. Our goal is to relate to every girl; therefore we strive to expand our products to accommodate the diverse needs of our market. We're going full force, intersectional and all. A fashion revolution in the making. Unapologetic, showing a lack of awareness about the "proper" way to behave. Gauche Girl.
